Happy Birthday Mom

Today would have been my mom's 59th birthday. I cannot believe that is has been over two years since we lost her. She truly was the BEST mom and grandma ever. She was Bailee's best friend and Bay misses her so much. She loves to talk about memories and really wishes she was still here for her. We miss her so much and are very lucky to have had such a wonderful mom and grandma.

Anniversary/ Valentines

Monday February 13th was our Anniversary. We have been married 13 years.On our Anniversary Clint sent me a plant to school. It is a peace lily and he got it because he knows I hate to get flowers. They die so fast and the amount of money they cost really irritates me. I would rather have that money spent on something far better than flowers. So he decided to get me a house plant that I can kill myself. So lets see how long I can keep it alive....He chose this one because it is supposed to be very hard to kill so it is now a contest in our house to see how long it lives.

Then the next day was Valentines. Clint sent me and Bailee each roses. He only sent a few so it would be cheap so that I couldn't get mad. They are pretty though. SO I forgave him for sending flowers. These are all the flowers and the plant from the day before on my desk at work. They really were so pretty.

These are Bailee's Valentines we made for her class. They turned out pretty cute and they were a hit!

I also made giant hershey kisses for my friends and family that were made out of marshmallow popcorn and then formed to look like a kiss in foil with a tag and everything but I forgot to take a picture of them.

For Christmas my dad had given all of us tickets to the Lady Antebellum concert that was on Valentines Day. He thought we would all have fun having a date night on V- day all together. Well Clint really does not like concerts at all and so I took Bailee as my date, I knew she would enjoy it way more as would I being there with someone that was not miserable. So after school we headed up to Salt Lake to begin our Valentines Date with my whole family. 

On the way we stopped to visit mom/grandma and drop off a Valentine balloon and windmill. We also took her a Happy Birthday balloon because her birthday is the 2 days later. 

My dad took us all to Carvers for dinner before the concert. It was really good food and even better company. My dad had a rose laid out on the place setting for each girl. It looked so pretty. I love being together with my family.

My dads girlfriend Tammy, brought us all a Valentine gift to dinner and it was a box of these amazing doughnuts for each of us. They are from a place called Beyond the Glaze and I had to take a picture of them. They are so pretty. And YES the one in the middle on the top row has Bacon in it... we will have to see how that is. Thanks Tammy for the sweet Valentine gifts.

This is a horrible pic taken with my awful phone but I forgot the camera this time. But I loved this part towards the end when Lady A brought out their openers, Thompson Square  and Darius Rucker and they all sang "Hold MY Hand" together. It was really good. 

It was a fabulous concert and a great way to spend Valentines..Thanks to the BEST dad ever who thought this all out and gave us a wonderful time together.

Fun Cousin Day

This last Saturday, Feb. 11th Cole, Jaclyn, Hunter and my dad all came down to watch Bailee's basketball game. After the game we all went to lunch and then back to my house. My dad needed to take a four wheeler home that was at my house so Cole and Clint went to work getting it started and loaded. Well it took a few hours or longer so we had a good long time to play. Carter wanted to watch "McQueen" so they built a fort and laid in it to watch Cars. They read stories and wrestled. They had SOOOOOO much fun. We just love it when they come down and we can just have fun. Grandpa Joe had a nap and the kids laughed and wore themselves out. What a great day!!!!!

Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday we all went to my dads house for a party. On my way there Tracie called me and suggested that we could do a craft. So I stopped on my way and bought what I needed and we crafted during the game, (because really, we had no interest in the game at all) We ate good food and crafted. The kids were left to pretty much fend for themselves so they had a good time also.

Me and Tracie with our wreaths we made for Valentines. (Jaclyn did not get hers done because she ran out of yarn 3/4 of the way done) They are wrapped in yarn and then the flowers are made from felt. It was so fun. We need to do things like this more often. I really wish my sister, Jaclyn and I lived closer together.

Time Out For Women

The weekend of Feb 3-4 we went to Time Out For Women in Layton. I went with Angela, JanaKaye and Janice. I was so happy that they invited me to be a part of their mother daughter weekend. Janice has just pretty much adopted me as one of her daughters and it is nice to still do these mother daughter things even though I cant do them with my mom. Sometimes I get feeling bad and missing my mom and then I remember I have Janice. She really is my other mother and I appreciate her so much.  It was a fun weekend. We stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn that was attached to the conference center. Ate at yummy places and did some shopping. 

Thanks girls for inviting me along.

The speakers were all so good and it was definetly something I will do again. I had never been but I really enjoyed it. During one of the breaks we went out to sit in comfy chairs for a minute and I had to snap this pic of Angela...she looks so thrilled to be there. It really was not the case but it looked funny.
