Family photo shoot

Now that Christmas is over I can finally post our new family pictures. We gave my parents a big family pic of all of us for Christmas so I have not been able to post these until now. My friend Julia likes to dabble in photography and so she took them for us. Everyone met down here in Fountain Green and we took them just west of my house. I think they turned out great and wanted to post them so bad but now I finally can. Thanks Julia for getting some great pics for us. Here are just a few of my faves. There were way too many to post them all.

This is the final product that we gave my parents. We blew it up big and put it in their living room in place of mine and Tracie's bridal pictures,we decided it was time that they had to go. It turned out really nice and I think they loved it. Tracie had the cute idea to wrap it and hang it up. It turned out really cute.They had to open it on the wall. I wish I had before and after pics bit I dont.

Our Nativity

Sunday night we had our nativity at Clint's mom's house.

The Hansen family all gets together every year and the kids act out the nativity scene. We sing songs and someone narrates the story out of the scriptures then we eat. The kids have fun doing it and it gets everyone in the spirit of Christmas. It is a fun tradition that has been going on for a very long time. (longer than I have been in the family at least)I think even since Clint was little and he is almost 37. Bailee riding the donkey in.. She is Mary and Ben is the Donkey... Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. Jesus is her cousin Teagon. She really loves him a lot and was really happy to be able to hold him, (That is why she wanted to be Mary) .

Bailee's Nutcracker

Just a few pics of my beautiful little Party Girl in this years production of the Nutcracker. This is Bailee's third year doing the Nutcracker and every year it just gets better and better. This year she had two parts. She was a Party Girl and an Angel. These are just a few pics I took of her before and after. My brother took all the pics of the performance because my camera would not take great pics but his is a really nice camera so I will post those pics when I get them from him.

Thank you to all my family and friends who came to watch Bailee this year. Clara was in from Arizona, my family drove through a horrible snow storm there and back. What would we do without the support of a wonderful family.Thank goodness everyone got back home safe and Bailee really loved having everyone there.

Merry Christmas

Well I mailed out my Christmas cards today and I fell a little (O.K. a lot ) short. So to all of the people that I did not mail one too I am sorry and please consider this one yours. I will order more next year but I hope that everyone knows that we are thinking of them and wish you all a Very Merry Christmas. I am also lacking in the address department. I am missing quite a few that I have had in the past and I have recently been in contact with some of my old friends(yeah!) and would like to get you all on my Christmas list so if you would like please send me your address for my records. A day at the Ballet

Saturday we had a girls day out and went to see the Nutcracker at Capitol Theater. Bailee is in a production of the Nutcracker next Saturday so we thought it would be fun to go see the "real" one by Ballet West. It was really fun. We had a great day all together as a family.

Well I posted a picture of Bailee with her cousins on the Hansen side and now we have her picture with her cousin on the Robinson side. I thought it only fair that this one get posted also. This is my sisters little boy and Bailee loves him sooooo much. They have so much fun together. I must say they are some pretty cute kids.( Even if I am a little bias)

Seussical the Musical

North Sanpete High School did "Seussical the Musical" this year and Angela and I took the kids. They had face painting by Thing 1 and Thing 2 before hand and pictures with cat in the hat. So this is Bailee and Aubree with the Cat and the Hat (Paige was afraid of him so she is not in the pic.) He was played by Theron Christensen from Moroni. He was EXCELLENT!

All in all it was a fun night out with the girls.

Cousins Pictures Christmas 2008

Today we went up North to get the kids pictures taken for grandma and grandpa for Christmas. We did a little shopping and came home. It was a fun day and here is just one of the cute pics we got of the grandkids.

Veterans Day

Well yesterday was Veterans Day and our school did their annual program. This year they added a parade of flags. The kids were escorted down main street by the color guard and they were all carrying flags. They walked from the theater to the cemetary with the police stopping traffic behind them. It was a really cool site to see. They then posted all the flags on each side of the road at the cemetary. It was a very nice tribute to our veterans. Days like this always tug at my heart and I just want to honor my veteran and tell everyone how much I love him and appreciate what he has done for us.

Halloween Fun

Well our Halloween started on Thursday night by carving our pumpkins that we waited until the last minute to carve. It was a very hectic week and we finally got around to getting them carved and put out on the porch. The good thing about that is they looked all fresh and nice. They were not wilted and sad.

Bailee on one of the blow up slides at the carnival. There were a lot of these types of rides for the kids to play on. It kept them busy all afternoon and into the night.

Fountain Green tradition is that the teenagers go around town and collect everyones pumpkins and halloween decorations and put them on the roof of the Post office. They decorate it up all cute and then we all rush down to see it the next morning before it gets cleaned up.

1. Where Did You Meet?
* We met for the second time when my best friend moved in with him and his friend up in Salt Lake for the summer. I would go to do things with her and we ended up dating. The first time I met him was 6 years earlier whe he was dating one of my friends from Nephi but I was still in high school and I thought he was a jerk. (I guess people change)

2. How Long Did You Date Before You Were Married?
* We Dated for 2 years.

*It will be 10 years in Feb.
4. What is one thing he does that surprises you?
*He is the best dad... Anyone that knows him and his temper will understand why that surprises me. But when it comes to her he is really good.
5. What is your favorite feature about him?
*I love how tall he is and just his cowboy way. I always was a sucker for a cowboy.

6. What is your favorite quality about him?
*That he is always willing to help anyone. He will drop anything to help someone out. Sometimes I really get irritated about it when I am the one that gets dropped but I realize that he would give the shirt off his back to someone that needed it.

*No not really, at least I dont know it if he does which probably means that it is not nice.

*He likes all colors but I think he likes red and green

*Chinese or mexican

*He hates sports...All of them

*He did... I was too afraid of scaring him away if I was to say it so I just waited for him to.

*It was on our first date. We went to the really late movie up by his house in Sugarhouse. It was the Fifth Element

*We like to go to movies... and dinner

* We have a wonderful daughter Bailee. She is 8 years old

15. What is a hidden talent of his?
*He is a natural fix it man,builder,anything that needs fixed or built he can do it.

*He is 36 soon to be 37 in March

17. What do you admire most about him?
*The thing I admire most is the fact that he is a soldier. His full time job is the military and he has deployed to defend our country twice. He is my hero. And we are free because of the brave. And he is definetly that, BRAVE... 18. What is his favorite past time?
*He loves to ride horses and be on the mountain or the desert herding sheep and his passion is snowmobiling when he gets the chance to go.

19. What is his favorite kind of music?
*Country and old rock from the 70's and 80's... The older the country the better too.

*Nope, I dont think he ever reads my blog. He thinks it is stupid. But I love him anyway....

A Very FUN Filled Weekend

Well this weekend was just packed full of FUN and I just thought I would put a few of the pics for you all to see. First as all of you who have little girls around the age of 8 will know that it was the opening day of High School Musical 3 on Friday. My dad works for Sara Lee who is one of the major sponsors of the movie so they rented an entire theater for employees and families to go see the movie. Bailee, me, Tracie, Carter, Mom and Jaclyn went to see the movie and we had a blast. It was so much fun. Of course I had to take a few pics to document the day so here are a few.

So that was Friday.... Now for Saturday....

So Saturday we are driving up to Kingsbury Hall for Thriller and we happen to pass by East High. Yes, THE East High where HSM was filmed so we had to stop and take a few pics of us at the school. Let me paint a picture of adult woman running around East High to take pictures at all the places from the movie like we were 8 years old. It was ridiculous but our kids think we are super heroes right now for doing it.

Anyone who has seen the movie will recognize the outside lunch tables and the windows behind us are the lunch room.

So enough with our little school girl adventure and on to Thriller....

The girls,( Me, Angela, Janakaye, Janice, Kathy,Tracie, Jaclyn ) all went to Thriller by Odyssey Dance. This is my 4th year going and it is still amazing. If you love to watch dance this is worth every penny...

It would have only been better if the girls had been complete... We were missing Julia and Steph.

All in All it was a very fun weekend.
