Student Council 2012-2013

Since Bailee is in the 6th grade this year she had the opportunity to run for a student body officer. Every one that wants to run prepares a speech and they present their speech to the student body. The whole school votes on who they want. Her and her three besties were going to all run for different offices so that they would hopefully all four end up in a position and "The Four" would be the Student Body officers. Well that is not how it turned out and one of them did not make it. But three of them did make it. The fourth is one of their good friends Mason. They have had a fun year being Student body officers together since they are such a tight group anyway. They miss Tiffany though :(

Wacky Hair Day

This year for wacky hair day we did a Christmas tree...it turned out so darn cute. I only wish the pictures did it justice. It was so much cuter in person.

Random fall pics 2012

Just a few random pics that don't really have a category so I am clumping them together and going with it. 

Bailee has 3 best friends and they call themselves "The Four" well they do everything together and they spend a whole lot of time at my house. I just think of them as mine most the time. Love them and I love that Bailee has such close friends. 

This is three of the four having a swimming night down at Snow College. They put together a synchronized swim routine. It was hysterical. 

They sleep over at my house alot and they love to wake up in the morning and all go for a jeep ride. This poor little jeep was made by my dads friend. Bailee rode it when she was a lot smaller. All three and most the time four of these girls pile in  and ride it down the road but it cant carry them back up the rode because they are too heavy so they push it up and ride it down again. They are in their P.J's and they could care less. They wont even eat breakfast before they are out on the jeep.

I just had to add this cute pic of my dad. He brought his girlfriend down to ride horses and he was holding these two while we got the others saddled and I thought it was such a cute pic of him.

Labor Day 2012

Every year on Labor Day the Hansen's all gather up on the mountain at the sheep herd and have a dutch oven and ride horses and just have a fun day on the mountain. This year I invited my brother and sister and their families up too. We had a fun day just enjoying each other and having a day on the mountain with great food and fun!

First Day of School 2012- 6th grade

First day of 6th grade and last year at the elementary school with me. It is so sad to think that she has grown up so fast. She has turned into such a wonderful young lady and I can only hope she continues to be the great kid that she is. 

Lamb Day 2012

My Lamb Day posts are always filled with pics of Bailee and her lamb and the lamb show. That is what has consumed our lamb days for many years.

Lamb Day was very different for us this year. We usually are showing a lamb in the lamb show and we spend all summer walking that lamb and getting ready to show it, then come actual lamb day we are up at 5 am. washing that lamb and getting it beautiful along with Bailee to show. Then we have to be at the park for weigh ins and our whole lamb day is consumed by that lamb show. This year we opted out of the lamb show and therfore did not know quite what to do with ourselves and our extra time. But I will say that it was a very needed rest. 

So Bailee decided to run the fun run since she did not have a lamb to get ready. They drive them out of town and they run a 5K back to the park and end there. She ran it with her cute friend Hallie and they had a blast. It started a love for running with her that she still has today. I am pretty sure that the Lamb Day 5K will be her new tradition. So this post of Lamb Day is pics of a runner instead of a lamb...lol

As soon as all the runners get back to the park we start the day off with a flag ceremony and they hang the flag. I have to admit I have never been to the park early enough to actually witness this occur until this year. I loved that they brought the boys and the flags in on a hours drawn wagon. It was fun to watch. This is my 15th Lamb Day and my first flag ceremony. I guess I will see many more if Bailee is going to keep running.

Then onto the parade. Bailee rode on the fire truck with her softball team this year. 

And that is all the pics I took of Lamb Day 2012. I was a big slacker and will try to document better next year. I was just so happy to have a nice relaxing day that I did not care about anything.

Bailee Turns 12!!

My baby turned 12...I cannot believe where the time has gone. We had a fun family party at Grandpa Joe's house with swimming and great family and friends. Bailees favorite thing to do is swim to it is a perfect party for her. It is Tammy's (grandpa Joe's girlfriend) birthday the day after Bailee's so the party was for her too.

Hunter loves to be silly and get a laugh. The bag entertained him the whole time we opened presents.

Grandpa spoils Bailee...He gave her an Ipod touch for her birthday...she LOVES it.

On Bailee's actual birthday we had a friend party. We rented out the movie theater in Nephi and took most of the kids in her class to the movie. We met at our house first before and opened presents and then we piled into cars and went to Nephi. I had to enlist the help of my friends to help drive, but it was ok because Bailee invited their kids to the party so they had to come anyway...

Then back to my house for a Band Hero marathon. I thought they were never going home... But it was a fun day!

The day ended with everyone sitting around the table playing on their Ipods... I had to take a picture. This is one of my pet peeves...kids sitting around all playing on their ipods and no conversation at all...they did not say a word for over 20 minutes. 

All in all it turned out to be a fun party for Bailee. I have not let her have a friend party for years so it made up for all the missed times. Her class is all such good friends that they just have a blast together. The boys and girls are all just best friends. I love her class.
