New Years Eve 2011

Every year my dad throws a great New Years Eve Party. Bailee was already up there and I was going to head up there on Saturday. I made all my food and treats and was ready to go Friday night. Then Saturday I was...you guessed it, SICK!!!!!!
So I missed the best party in town and I was just home feeling bad that I was missing out. So there are not many pictures because I was not there to take them and so these are a few my sister took on her phone. But I just wanted to document that it did occur and next year I will be there to participate in the fun.
My dad really is the best party planner and we always have a great time

Happy New Year !!!!!!

Christmas Morning 2011- A terrible day...

After such a fun night at Grandpa Joe's we got home around 2 a.m. and hurried Bailee off to bed so Santa could come. I hurried to get all my presents for her out and wrapped so I could get to bed so Santa could come. So off to wrapping I went. I had of course got nothing done in advance and so I was busy getting things ready and trying to hurry. About 4 a.m. I hear her bedroom door open and panic sets in that she will walk out into the living room and see all her presents. But she makes a mad dash for the bathroom and she is one sick little girl. She was white as a ghost and throwing up.  She and I sat on the bathroom floor for about an hour until she fell asleep on the bathroom floor with her pillow and blanket. She was so sick she did not want to get up and go back to bed. In my mind I thought maybe it was just to much junk food at the party and she would be good now. So I hurry and finish what a can and a lot went by the wayside and did not get done for Christmas morning. As soon as I thought I was good to go to bed she was up and sick again. We did this until about 8 a.m. and then it was time to get up. Clints mom called to see where we were because we were supposed to be at her house by now to do Christmas at her house before they had to all head to church. Bailee had started to feel a little better so she decided to try to go to grandmas. She jsut could not imagine missing out on Christmas. We were there about 10 minutes and she let me know we needed to get home. Luckily Clints parents live one block away. Her and I came home and she was sick again. Clint stayed and got our gifts and then came home. Bailee tried to sit up and open a present or two and after two gifts she just laid down on the floor and went to sleep. She would wake up, be sick and feel like opening a couple presents before she would fall asleep again. It was so sad. Clint went to his family party that afternoon and Bailee and I stayed home and she slept, threw up and slept all day long. It did not even feel like Christmas and I did not even think to take more pics due to all that was going on. But about 9:00 that night she woke up and felt good enough to eat some crackers and drink a little. I knew she was on the mend. She finished opening her presents and went to bed. The next morning she was good as new and she then took the time to really look at what she got and play with her toys and put on her new clothes. She then headed off to play at a friends house and I did not see her again for three days. She went from one friends house for a sleepover to anothers and did  not return home until Thursday, just to head to Grandpa Joes house for the next four days. She was super sick for Christmas day but she made up for it by having a very fun week afterward.

Bailee sick with our "throw up bowl" by her side at all times. This is where she fell asleep and slept most the day.

First thing in the moring she came out to see her stuff... it was short lived!

We did get a smile or two out of her, bless her heart, she really was trying to be happy...Bailee got new nikes for her Zumba and R.I.P.P.E.D classes that she goes to faithfully. She is quite the exercise girl lately. She got new clothes, new shoes, basketball, football, gift cards, the game Dominion, and I made her a blanket.

Back to laying down after a few presents

Bailee loving her blanket I made her. It is made out of "Minky" and so soft. She has wanted a Minky blanket for a while. She is still a blanket girl and I love it.
Clint opening some of his presents.
The day came and went and it was not much fun but it will be a Christmas we will always remember that is for sure.

Christmas Eve 2011

I have been a horrible blogger this last half of the year and have missed blogging many events that I am sure I will be very upset about later. But for Christmas I have gone overboard with the pictures and I am sorry but I just could not decide and I wanted to really remember this Christmas. And after all I do this for me and my family to look at later in a book. So here goes...
On Christmas Eve we had our annual party at my dads house. We all got there about 6:00 and slowly everyone trickled in. We had tons and tons of food as always for Joe's house and we ate and visited for a while. Then it was time to open presents and it took a very long time but it was so fun. Hunter was so dang cute this year. He was so into it and was so funny we were entertained all night by him.
Tracie and Cole all posed all cute for a family photo and as you can see Clint and I got a snap shot on the couch. Wish we would have followed suit after them. I love their pics and we dont have one. Oh well, maybe next year.

 Hunter and his "cheese" face...
Love this pic of the grand kids with Grandpa Joe...Every time Hunter sees the camera he pulls this same face and says "cheese" and it looks like Carter is choking him... I laugh everytime I see this.

A portion of the loot...we had lots and lots of presents to open.
Just had to throw this in because Hunter looked so handsome...

Hunter is obsessed with Thomas the train. He got a Thomas pillow pet that he could not quit hugging and riding around the house all night.
A few cute pics of Hunter and his cheese face... the stockings that we get from grandpa Joe are the best part of the night and so we had to take a photo of the kids with their stocking...here is Hunter's

Carter with his pile of presents and his stocking(s)...there was too much to fit into one so he had two. Isn't he so handsome...I just love this kid!

 Bailee's turn...

Bailee's big gift from Grandpa was a flat screen T.V. with a built in DVD player. along with lots of cloths and shoes, WII games and accessories. And of course, below is her and her stockings.
My cute Grandma Jerry...she was a trooper to sit here this long.
The following set of photos are a series that shows how cute and funny the kids were. Hunter and Bailee had so much fun. He would ride on her and then fall off on purpose and giggle and giggle.
Yes Bailee has scotch tape on her forehead.

father and son with their new guitars...

My dad is famous for how he finds very creative ways to give us our gifts. This year Tracie and Clark got money to sheetrock their basement and this is how my dad did it. He glued two peices of sheetrock together after he had hollowed out a small part in the middle for the gift card and then wrote this poem on it. It tied into the funny thing he did for them lastyear and we all got a kick out of this. He is the best dad ever....

Cole and Jaclyn got a new freezer for all the Elk and Fish that Cole brings home.
No one took pics of us getting our gifts but our big gift was a Sprinkler System for our yard. He gave us all the parts and pieces that we will need. I was so excited. I love my dad...
We gave my dad a camera, a vacuum and a calendar of the kids pictures.

We ended the night very late, around midnight(ish) and the kids were all still going strong. It was a fun night and we all had a good time.
We got home around 2 a.m. and then Bailee was off to bed for Santa to come...

Veterans Day 11-11-11

The Veterans day program went great again this year. Our little school sure puts on a great Veterans program every year. They touch everyone in one way or another whether they are a veteran or not. Just a few pics of this years program. Clint missed it because he was in North Dakota at school for his job but he was there in sprit.

The Veterans that were there and a few members of the 116th engineers National Guard that did the color guard.
Then the students walk down main street to the cemetary to post flags. They were led by the National Guard also.
I just had to take a picture of these two cuties. They came all dressed for the occasion. So cute!!!

This is a movie I made for the program also. I am posting it here for my own benefit but if you would like to watch please feel free. Most of the pictures are people from Fountain Green.
